Celebs are jumping on the memoir bandwagon, some to make a quick buck (cough, Snooki, cough), others to tell a genuine story of their rise to fame.  It’s easy us to figure out the motive behind their books—all you have to do is look at the author.  For example, Paris Hilton.  Why is she famous?  What does she do?

Thankfully, there’s a whole slew of newly released and coming-soon memoirs from celebrities who have actual merit to their fame.

There is much talk of Janet Jackson's book , which drops Feb. 15th, as being about how she struggled with self esteem and how her brothers teased her. While they are certainly elements of both in the book, Janet's story is about how she overcame and pushed through not feeling good about herself and how she finally discovered (as many of us do), that there is more to life beyond the mirror.
